Component Integrity

Independent evidence on a part, lot, or supplier, built to survive a customer challenge. Riveltis holds custody, frames the test questions, coordinates qualified laboratories, and turns the results into a disposition you can defend.

TYPICAL DURATION
2 to 6 weeks
DECISION ANSWERED
Can this component or lot be trusted and defended?
WHEN YOU NEED IT

Signals that this is the right engagement

  • 01A part failed in the field and the cause is disputed
  • 02A broker or open-market purchase needs verification before it enters build
  • 03Incoming inspection found an anomaly and the lot is on hold
  • 04A customer or prime has questioned the authenticity or traceability of supplied material
  • 05A supplier claim and your own data disagree
HOW IT RUNS

What actually happens

One accountable owner carries the engagement end to end. Nothing below is optional.

STEP 01

Intake and custody

Unique identifiers, controlled storage, and a custody log that starts before any test is discussed.

STEP 02

Decision framing

A written statement of the decision the evidence must support, agreed before technical work begins.

STEP 03

Test coordination

Test questions framed, qualified laboratories selected, scope and method recorded, results reviewed on receipt.

STEP 04

Evidence index

Every finding tied to the record that supports it, with assumptions and limits stated separately from observations.

STEP 05

Disposition support

A defensible recommendation, and the closeout package that lets you act on it.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

THE BOUNDARY ON THIS WORK

Riveltis will not claim laboratory accreditation, certification authority, formal audit authority, or regulated approval until the company or a named provider holds the required qualification.

QUESTIONS

Component Integrity: common questions

Does Riveltis operate its own testing laboratory?
No. Riveltis coordinates qualified independent laboratories, frames the test questions, preserves custody, and reviews the results. Test methods requiring accreditation are performed by the accredited provider, who is named in the evidence package.
How is a suspect counterfeit component investigated?
The part is taken into controlled custody with a unique identifier, the decision the evidence must support is written down, and a test sequence is selected to answer that decision. Typical progression runs from documentation and traceability review, through external and packaging inspection, to destructive or analytical methods only where the decision requires them.
Which standards apply to suspect counterfeit electronic parts?
The SAE counterfeit avoidance family is the usual reference point: AS5553 for users of electronic parts, AS6081 for independent distributors, and AS6171 for test methods. Riveltis works to the standard the customer or contract requires, and states in the deliverable which methods were applied.
Can the findings be used in a supplier dispute?
That is what the custody discipline is for. Observations, analysis, assumptions, and recommendations are kept separate and each is tied to its supporting record, so the package can be handed to a customer, a prime, or counsel without being rebuilt.
What if the evidence does not support the outcome we expected?
The finding is reported as the evidence supports it. Riveltis does not accept engagements conditioned on reaching a predetermined result.

Start with the decision you need to make

Scoping begins with the question, not a capability deck. Send the decision, the evidence you already hold, and the date driving it.
